What Is The 11 Plus Test In Buckinghamshire?

The 11 plus test – which is known as the Buckinghamshire Secondary Transfer Test – is a mandatory test for all children who attend state primary schools in Buckinghamshire. What does the 11 plus cover?

In Buckinghamshire, the test assesses each child’s verbal, non-verbal and mathematical skills. It is split over two test papers, each of which takes 60 minutes to complete. Children are given a break between the two papers.

When will my child need to take the 11 plus?
